This campsite has a gorgeous, peaceful location on the Reykjahlíð lakeshore (though it gets packed and noisy in summer) almost opposite the supermarket. There is a cooking area (no stoves or utensils, so bring everything), laundry service (1200kr per wash or dry), tour-booking desk and bike hire. Note: no wi-fi.
