Hótel Bjarkalundur

The Westfjords

A heritage-themed revamp of Bjarkalundur's public rooms reflect its status as the oldest summer hotel in Iceland. Now dark green walls frame polished wood furniture, well-worn books and wing-backed chairs. Bedrooms are styled more plainly and overall the hotel hasn't quite shaken off a motel feel. Bjarkalundur also offers cabins, camping (per person 1500kr) and has a decent restaurant.
