Melanes Camping

Top choice in The Westfjords

Melanes is one of the Westfjords most spectacularly sited campsites – sitting as it does right beside sweeping Rauðasandur cove. The grassy site has new flush toilets, showers, a kitchen and a laundry, and best of all a clutch of adorable hobbit-sized, two-person wooden pods.

Melanes is 4km southeast of the turn-off from Rte 614 to Rauðasandur.
