Cupped in the bowl of an extinct volcano, the Herjólfsdalur campsite has hot showers, a laundry room and cooking facilities. Camping can get windy here, but the owners will point you in the direction of a sheltered spot. There are also A-frame huts and barrel houses to rent. Linen costs 1600kr per person.
