Hótel Geysir

Top choice in The Golden Circle

This four-star, 77-room hotel is minimalist cool. The facade has an entirely wooden front with only a small single doorway, which opens into a grand lobby, and the relics of the walls from the original building – once a training facility for glíma (Scandinavian martial art used by the Vikings). B&W photography of historic athletes decorates the walls.

There's a restaurant serving a daily buffet (4200kr) from noon until late. A spa is also being planned for the hotel, which will be fully operational in 2019. It's located next to the Geysir Center.
