A clean, well-run hostel with 19 rooms over three floors in a splendid old building, the Maverick has a kitchen on each floor, a comfortable common room, private doubles and four- to 10-bed dorms (no bunks). Two dorms and one double share bathrooms. It attracts a range of travellers, including families, and hosts relaxed evening events such as wine tastings.
