Jungle River Lodge

Honduras

It's haphazardly run, but Jungle River Lodge is perched on a ledge with a magnificent perspective of the Río Cangrejal valley – the outdoor bar-restaurant here has one of Honduras' greatest vistas. New dorms are tiled and clean (skip the dark older dorms at the same price), while woodsy rooms are screened in with mosquito nets and have private hot-water bathrooms.

There are natural swimming pools below and all kinds of tours can be booked (canopy tours, hiking and white-water rafting).
