Papillon Enterprise

Port-au-Prince & Around

Formed in 2009, this top-notch organization has built a successful artisan's workshop staffed by Haitians who make art out of various recycled materials such as paper, glass bottles, aluminum and steel drums. A tour of the boutique features the jewelry and crafts, but also introduces visitors to hard-working Haitians with compelling stories of how they provide for their children.

The staff are incredibly warm and diligent, and the adorable open-air cafe across the street, which is also part of the project, serves up excellent smoothies and coffee.
