West of San Andrés and down a gravel road, Ni'tun is set on a 35-acre patch of protected secondary forest where six species of hummingbird nest year-round. Four spacious huts built from indigenous materials feature handcrafted furniture and wraparound screened windows. Superb meals are prepared in the open-air clubhouse with a lounge on the upper deck.
Bernie and Lorena, Guatemalan conservationists, built and operate the lodge and coordinate adventure excursions through their affiliated company, Monkey Eco Tours.
