Hotel Pan American

Guatemala City

Guatemala City's only luxury hotel before WWII, the Pan American is one of the few hotels in the city with any air of history. There's a fine, art deco lobby that's filled with plants and a not-too-shabby restaurant. Rooms are simple but large, often with three or more beds. The bathrooms are stylish and modern, with good-sized tubs.

Avoid rooms facing the noisy street.
