The steep ascent to Hobbitenango might make you think you're climbing Mt Doom, but this Middle Earth–styled lodge is a great place to get away from it all. Accommodations are indeed in half-buried and round-doored lodges, with turf roofs, cosy fireplaces for cool nights and everything to make a hobbit happy; they sleep four to six people.
It's a popular place for meals, with a good, rustic restaurant (mains Q50 to Q80) with tremendous views and a well-curated selection of craft beer.
The lodge runs 4WD shuttles (Q15) from a parking space 10 minutes (and 800m below) the property – call ahead.
