Hotel des Roses

Pelion Peninsula

Framed by rose bushes, Platanias' first-ever hotel still stands proud at the foot of the road down the hillside, 100m inland from the beach. Quiet, spotless and affordable, it holds three floors of large rooms with large kitchenettes.

Owner Nikos makes soaps from olive oil and donkey milk, and you can learn the art at an on-site class; milking optional. There are also regular 'ecowalking' and wild-herb-collecting excursions.
