Porto Elea is nestled in woodland shade by a glowing cove, down a dirt road 9km east from Vouvourou. The luminous water, fancy beach bars and excellent taverna explain why it's the favourite place of Balkan celebs. Apart from caravans, there is also the converted convent of Porto Elea, which is now a hotel featuring minimalist rustic rooms.
