Down at the port, 'Aegean Cuisine' flag bearer Mersini woos diners in a garden setting with great harbour views and traditional Greek dishes and seafood (particularly lobster spaghetti and local squid) with a contemporary twist, and hand-picked wild herbs and organic vegetables from its own garden.
The five chic all-white rooms behind the taverna are some of the nicest on the island (double €85 to €110) and are an excellent option.
