Trigona Elenidis

Thessaloniki

A veritable institution since 1960, Elenidis specialises in Thessaloniki's favourite pastry, the trigona. This sweet, flaky triangular cone, filled with tasty custard cream, is legendary in these parts, and was first created here. Locals emerge with 2kg boxes, but you might want to save room for the Greek halva (made with semolina) or homemade ice cream.
