Metropolis

Ioannina

Open since 1934 and now run by the grandson of the founder, the Metropolis has historic cachet (first hot and cold running water in Epiros!) and has been modernised very nicely. There are only nine rooms, all with Coco-Mat beds and other comforts; deluxe rooms (€160) have bathtubs. Very good breakfast too.
