Almost a site of pilgrimage for fans of the Durrell family, this utterly ravishing waterfront restaurant in the former home of writer Lawrence Durrell has tables quayside – many diners arrive by motorboat – as well as on a vine-shaded terrace. The appetisers are predominantly Greek, the mains Italian. The food is decent but, as is to be expected, a bit overpriced.
A number of Gerald's and Lawrence's books are for sale here, and it also offers boat rentals and apartments.
