Set in a ghost village (name; it was once a thriving village of 450 people), this tiny and oh so tasteful cafe has been restored and stands, along with the village church, as ongoing testament to its history. With stylish olive-green chairs and traditional tables, you can kick back with a coffee and think you were in a kafeneio (traditional cafe) from decades ago.
Come evening it turns into a cafe-bar, and there's sometimes live music, everything from island music to rembetika (blues). Be sure to check out the attached 'museum', a replica of a traditional home, plus the photos in the wee church showing life as it once was. Note: there's limited telephone reception.
