This excellent riverside taverna's house specialities, including fresh pestrofa (grilled wild trout) and mountain mushrooms – not to mention the handmade pites (pies), baked lamb or the owner’s house-made wine – more than justify the 12km trip from Karpenisi. Tables at the rear look out across the narrow Karpenisiotis River to Megalo Horio and the mountain beyond.
