Wyndham Grand Athens

Gazi, Keramikos & Metaxourgio

Its rooftop terrace – with one of the best panoramic views of the city – plus a reasonably sized outdoor pool, are among the Wyndham's trump cards in the international hotel chain stakes. Larger-than-average rooms, which are smartly decorated with big rain-showers, are other pluses.

It's not so central but is practically on top of the metro so it's easy to access other parts of the city. It also runs the Wyndham Athens Residence (www.wyndhamathensresidence.com) across the road which has similar rooms but with small kitchens for self-catering.
