Feast like a Roman on dishes based on the recipes of 1st-century local chef Marcus Gavius Apicius: mulled Moselle white wine followed by barley soup, pine-nut-stuffed sausage, artichokes with boiled eggs, ham with figs and almonds, and wine-sautéed pears with custard, honey and green peppercorns. During the day it serves more conventional German and international fare.
