A real treat, Littera serves simply superb 'nouveau Georgian' dishes in the lovely rear garden of the Georgian Writers' Union building. Don't miss trying the assorted pkhali (pastes combining vegetables with walnuts, garlic and herbs) as an appetiser. The frequently changing menu might include mains of fried quail with wheat berry risotto, or mussels chakapuli. It's advisable to book for dinner, although lunchtime is normally fine for walk-ins.
In winter it moves indoors.
