Azarphesha takes its food very seriously indeed and its knowledgeable English-speaking staff set it apart from many of its rivals. Wine glasses hanging from the ceiling underline its focus on natural Georgian wines, while the seasonally changing menu features dishes such as pork marinated in beer with wild mushrooms, catfish ceviche, and stinging nettle and lemon and cheese dumplings.
If you're lucky, you may be offered a ceremonial Azarphesha, an elaborately carved Georgian silver ladle in which wine is served, from which the restaurant takes its name.
