There's a naturalistic feel throughout La Tovière, from the wood and animal-skin touches in reception to the pine sauna. Rooms aren't huge but they're modern and stylish, with fuzzy pillows, posh bathrooms, mountain-facing balconies and a warming chocolate colour scheme. In summer, rates come crashing down by more than 50%.
A worthy breakfast buffet costs an extra €15 or there's half-board (upmarket Savoyard and Italian fare) for €32 per head.
The reception desk happily loans out pushchairs, board games, sledges, baby baths and more.
