This modest museum, housed in the restored apartment of his maternal grandfather, Docteur Gagnon, celebrates the work of the author of The Red and the Black (1830). Correspondence, lithographs, statuary and other mementos of Stendhal's life are on display.
Contact the museum in advance for guided tours during the week (available for groups by demand from 9am to noon and 2pm to 6pm Tuesday to Friday).
