Le Panier des 4 Saisons

Chamonix

Brimming with chatter and bonhomie, this semiformal, wood-panelled establishment serves substantial, Italian-influenced dishes such as deer with polenta gnocchi and vegetable and ricotta tart, along with Savoyard classics like boîte chaude (a 'hot box' of baked cheese with potatoes and smoked ham).

The kids' menu has a choice of burger or fish, followed by a scoop of ice cream (€12).
