A favourite among seasonal workers letting off steam, 'Room 9' boasts the most spirited (rather, loudest) après-ski party in Cham (from 3pm or 4pm). There's live rock music (from Sunday to Friday), dancing on the tables, and themed events (if DJ sets or circus-themed parties sound like your jam). Action spills out of the front door, and the terrace opens in spring.

During the day, Chambre Neuf is a cafe-bistro with good-value lunch menus between noon and 3pm, like Italian-style seafood, club sandwiches and steak-frites (from €12.50).
