La Marisa Hôtel

With its scarlet timbers and shutters, this tall townhouse is typical of the architecture in St-Jean de Luz. The rooms are split into three categories: Classic, Comfort and Extra Comfort. All are tinted in the same sunny shades, decorated in the same genteel fashion, and with a choice of bath or shower – so essentially you're paying extra solely for the space. Elsewhere around the hotel there are lots of books, antiques and wood-panelling, plus a pleasant courtyard garden.
