On the southern side of the Mazarin luarter, this friendly family-run hotel represents super value in Aix – the rates hardly vary, making it a real bargain in summer. The decor’s nothing to get excited about – white walls, grey bedspreads, functional bathrooms – but rooms are quite comfortable. Ask for one on the garden side if you’re a light sleeper.
