M de Megève

Savoie

Professing to put the 'M' in 'Megève', this independent hotel offers every imaginable decadence. Its 42 contemporary rooms have luxurious carpets, midnight-black bathrooms and, as a nod to Savoyard styling, bare wood. But the facilities do the talking: two restaurants, a down-lit pool area, sauna and hot tub, and a bar that aims to please with food and cocktail pairings.

Add-ons also come with a steep price tag, whether it's parking (€25) or breakfast (€28).

Week-long minimum stays are the norm.
