La Marmite

Savoie

Likeable La Marmite, trendily decked out in slate and timber, makes generous use of Alpine produce: truffled fondue and ravioles du Dauphiné (pasta bulging with Comté cheese) are highlights. But chef Christian also borrows recipes from elsewhere in France (duck in orange sauce, seared trout on butternut velouté) and throws in gourmet burgers, including a truly original vegetarian variety.
