Hotel des 3 Vallées

Savoie

The 28 rooms and suites here – half with balconies, almost all with great south-facing views – are lined with wood reused from old barns, and dressed with a naturalist touch (mock fur, wicker chairs and neutral tones). Equally restful is the wellness area with Jacuzzi, sauna and hammam, and the bar with mountain views (open until midnight). Situated just 80m from the slopes.

In the restaurant, the traditional Savoyard cuisine is a treat (mains €24 to €30), as is the ample all-French wine list.

Reserve ahead for the car park (€18).
