Café Piha

Bordeaux

The door handle alone – part of a coffee machine – says it all: this new-generation coffee shop is cool. Lounge on cushioned bench seating in a faintly exotic, Amazon-styled interior and take your pick of speciality coffee and brewing method (espresso, Chemex, V60 etc). Beans are roasted in the roastery out back and you can buy sachets to go.

Granola-fuelled breakfasts (€3–7.50) are served until noon and lunch (noon–3pm) might be a filet mignon marinated in honey mustard or avocado toast. Reservations are essential for weekend brunch (€20). Laptops welcome.
