At the foot of the fell at the turn-off to Rukajärvi, this intimate 16-room hotel looks like a children’s fort waiting to be populated with toy soldiers. Rooms are plainer than the exterior suggests, but service is excellent. The classy restaurant offers such wild delicacies as hare, elk and bear; from July to November it only opens by reservation.
