Dating from 1805, a rust-red wooden warehouse that once stored tar on Tervasaari now contains this delightful beam-ceilinged summer restaurant, which reflects its heritage in unique creations such as pine-tar-infused ice cream. Pine tar, birch and alder are all used to smoke meat, fish and vegetables at its smokery. Leafy trees and umbrellas shade the terrace.
Menu highlights include birch-smoked vendace with wholegrain mustard potato salad, alder-smoked salmon with forest mushroom stew, and pine-tar-smoked pork ribs with slaw.
