Jinka’s fanciest (though least friendly) address is 4km out of town on the road to Mago. Simple safari tents on thatched-roof platforms are in a large patch of green sloping down to the Neri River. They're equipped with fans and private facilities, but lack privacy – you can hear everything in the neighbouring tent. There are also four bungalows, including two family units.
Hot water is available mornings and evenings only, but unlike at hotels in town you can count on it being available. Top marks go to the pricey yet attractive traditional-style restaurant (mains Birr140 to Birr250) with an atmospheric wooden deck, soothing views and tasty Italian specialities. A pool is planned.
