A modern place on the western edge of town, this is a family-friendly hostel with great views of Wensleydale, an outdoor barbecue patio, bike storage and a drying room for hikers. At the time of writing it was about to undergo a much-needed refurb. Cheaper rates (dorm bed from £13) on weekdays.
