The surroundings are gorgeous, and so is the cuisine. A beautifully lit medieval building sets the scene for food that is both supremely elegant and unpretentious. Expect familiar classics and some quirks: curried monkfish, woodland mushroom risotto and crab nachos. The two- and three-course set menus (£11/13), available at lunch and early evening, are bargains.
