For a proper dinner in Bowness, this well-known address is tucked away in a whitewashed building on Ash St. Ingredients are fundamentally Cumbrian – lamb chump, beef cheek and pork belly, laced with mushroom sauces and woodland jus. Not quite the finest of fine dining, but decent nontheless.
