Circo

Bath

Clattering down the stairs to this basement drinking conjures a slight sense of heading into a speakeasy. It's dispelled on arrival – a cool soundtrack, fireplaces and armchairs create a classy atmosphere, that's only enhanced by the acoustic (Tuesday) and Cuban (Thursday) gigs, extravagant cocktails and boutique movie nights (Wednesday).

Circo also runs one-hour gin taster sessions (£35, 7pm Thursday) and one-hour cocktail masterclasses (£20, 7pm Tuesday) where you get to craft two of your favourites. And then drink them, of course.
