This simple backpacker lodge is in the small indigenous community of Pulinguí San Pablo. Families still live in the round chozas typical of the area, but Casa Cóndor is a stone building with a basic dorm and private rooms, hot showers and a communal kitchen.
It's run by the local community and you may find the building locked. Ask around in the village to find someone to open up. To get here, take a Guaranda-bound bus from Riobamba and ask the driver to drop you at Casa Cóndor.
