This rustic, friendly place in a peaceful setting is run by the indigenous Pilla family. There are wonderful views from the gardens; on a clear day it's possible to see Cotopaxi, Chimborazo, Tungurahua and El Altar among other volcanoes. The simple rooms share bathrooms, and there's a cozy dining room with a few books and information on the surrounding area.
Nearby is the weaving studio of Alonso Pilla, who sells his pieces and gives demonstrations on his backstrap loom. Señor Pilla can arrange tours of the area focusing on indigenous agriculture, medicine, textiles, music and more.
