Princesa Toa

The Quilotoa Loop

This new, community-run place has spacious rooms with pretty wooden beams, electric heaters and modern bathrooms. If there's no one at reception, try the tourist office opposite. There are just six rooms so book ahead. Breakfast and dinner are served in Kirutwa across the road.

The central atrium has a wonderful display of paintings depicting the legend of the hotel's namesake, Princess Toa, a shepherd girl who was swept away by a condor.
