Caravela

Dili

Set on a deck right on the beach 2.5km east of the centre, this upmarket restaurant takes advantage of Dili's waterfront like few other places. Portuguese dishes with salt cod or octopus are very toothsome, but the ikan pepes (fish steamed in banana leaf) is sensational. Get here in time to enjoy the sunset with a cocktail; the caipirinha is excellent.
