Pointe Baptiste Guesthouse

Dominica

Previous guests at this magnificent wooden villa on the estate of the Napier family have included Mick Jagger and Princess Margaret, and it's not hard to see why; the view from the vast veranda is incredible, while the rest of the charmingly old-fashioned place oozes history. It sleeps up to eight people, though beds are on the small side.

The gorgeous garden gives access to two sandy beaches. Proprietor Alan Napier operates a small chocolate factory on the estate grounds, above which you'll find the gorgeously appointed chocolate cottage, a breezy cabin that sleeps up to three.
