Using eclectic music, junk-shop furniture, mismatched crockery, old lamps, pot plants and fresh flowers to fine effect, this fabulously quirky American-run cafe is signed with nothing more than a painted cup. At lunch there are delicious meat-free garlic-spiked paninis and large, flavour-packed fresh salads. Multidish vegetarian dinners might include eggplant with pomegranate dressing, leek salad and apricot quinoa.
Sepia photos of the owner's ancestors denote each type of coffee available – 'great grandad's cortado' is an excellent choice. Fresh juices include beet, celery, apple and ginger shots.
