Røgeriet i Svaneke

Top choice in Bornholm

You’ll find a fine selection of excellent smoked fare at the long counter here, including smørrebrød (Danish open sandwiches), mackerel, trout, salmon, herring, shrimp and fiskefrikadeller (fish cakes). Sit inside with a view of the massive, blackened doors of the smoking ovens or at the outdoor picnic tables overlooking the old cannons, with a view of the five iconic chimneys.

You'll find the smokehouse by the water at the end of Fiskergade, just north of the town centre. Closing time varies: 8pm in July, 5pm in cooler months.
