Hotel Royal

Aarhus

If you’ve come to expect restrained Scandi style in your top-end Danish hotels, prepare to be surprised. From the over-the-top entrance portico to the chandelier-lit reception area and incredible murals, the Royal seems a little, well, gaudy in parts. But fun, too – we love the fish-tank reception desk and the rich colour schemes. The rooms are appropriately lavish.
