City Sleep-In

Aarhus

This central hostel used to house seamen and is a real one-off with its rambling layout of sitting rooms, terraces, rooms and dorms. There is a large communal kitchen and a bar-cafe with regular live music. Colourful murals cover the walls and the furnishings are an eclectic and comfortable mishmash of styles and eras.

The doubles are pricey for what you get – if you need to rent bed linen (50kr) and a towel (20kr), it might pay to look at a budget hotel.
