Hotel Miramar

Marketed primarily to a German-speaking clientele, the Miramar is glam almost to the point of kitsch, but it's fabulous nonetheless. The space-rich rooms are spread between five pastel buildings, set amid lovely gardens, and there's a rocky little beach, indoor and outdoor pools, a spa centre and a surfeit of chandeliers.
